Barnes And Noble's Original Nook Wireless Portable Reading Device Confronts Amazon's Digital Book Reader
The contemporary Nook wireless book reader being marketed by B&N, the worlds largest book store with over 1,300 branches, seems all set to lock horns with the worlds best selling digital book reader, the Amazon kindle.
Although not long launched, the Nook electronic book readers are looking to ruffle Amazon's feathers even more by taking it on straightforwardly in a sector of the market place, that up to yet, the Kindle has dominated. Sony of late improved the size of their store at the Sony-Store and discounted the price of their digitally transported titles to match that of Amazons and hopefully Barnes and Noble, who have continuously been in the same ballpark price point wise, will equal them title for title also.
However the biggest news bulletin for consumers has to be the shift away from proprietary file formats utilized by Sony in the early days and nevertheless utilized by the Kindle2 now.
