Don't waste good speed cleaning time polishing that furniture! In case it is very new home furniture, it already has a protective finish to it. There is no need to do much more than dust it.
And if it's a teak finish, well, oil it down for now and then let that oil sit for a few hours (ideally overnight!)
And there you have it in a nutshell, one more speed bump crushed in your own race to clean your home - efficiently. I feel, though, as if I have to give you another practical recommendation - and in terms of home furniture there's a lot of misinformation floating around. So I'll let you in on a secret that neither the producers of the home furniture would inform you nor will people who make furniture polish really want you to know.
You can also make your own "green" furniture cleaners. It costs a fraction of what it would if you purchased a commercial one and it is significantly better not just for the environment, but for your personal health as well. And, by the way, your furniture will simply find it irresistible as well.
There are actually a number of speed cleaning tips from which to choose, this is certainly one of my favorites. It's also one that's beneficial for teak furniture. And when you own any teak you know how careful you need to be with that finish.
Use either of these 2 and you cannot at all go wrong:
¼ teaspoon light olive oil
¼ cup white vinegar
Or maybe
¼ cup walnut oil
four drops lemon extract
Once you use these cleaning tips I'm betting you'll never purchase commercial furniture polish and oil all over again.
