Multitasking is facilitate by the tablet's operating system, a version of the Android OS nicknamed "Froyo." It's not a necessity to keep certain apps "live" in order to receive messages from the system's notification service, while at the same time listening to MP3s and keeping your GPS information updated. It offers user-friendly access to your Gmail and other e-mail apps and accounts, so you don't have to be worried about whether someone can reach you when you have your tablet with you.
One of the best things about this Dell tablet that was not a component of the initial iPad design is video chat. This Dell tablet, utilizing Qik software and a front-facing panel cam, provides video chat. The only catch is that the only ones you will be able to chat with are those who own a Dell Streak tablet or a compatible device. So there isn't a universal video chat feature available. Another perk is that the tablet has Blockbuster's On Demand service. We're not so certain that this is a strong feature, after all, because of the troubles Blockbuster is having as of late.
Thus far, there aren't lots of reviews about this particular product although several people are wondering what the point of this product might actually be. The tablet's functionality is pretty limited through its inability to interact with other devices that aren't compatible with Streak 7. Nonetheless, a strong desire for a tablet computer coupled with a small budget may make this tablet a perfect way to acquaint yourself with the technology. Keeping in mind the aforementioned caveats, do consider your purchase carefully before committing any money.
